Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2018. /Kabar/. The SCNS (State Committee for National Security) officers in Bishkek detained a 28-year-old citizen, who turned out to have a fake passport of Kyrgyzstan during a search, in the name of another militant of the terrorist organization, who had previously taken part in hostilities in Syria.
Operativists identified that the detainee is a member of international grouping abroad and engaged in the financing and provision of various aids to the militants in Syria in the ranks of a international terrorist organization. According to preliminary data, in order to finance militants of the international terrorist organization in Syria the detainee sent about $100 thousand.
The investigating authorities of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic initiated a criminal case against him on the grounds of crimes provided for by Articles 226-1 (Financing of Terrorist Activities), 299-1 (Organized Activities aimed at Inciting National (Interethnic), Racial, Religious or Interregional Hostility) and 350 (Falsification, Manufacturing, Sale or Use of Forged Documents, State Awards, Stamps, Seals, Forms) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The detainee was placed in the detention facility of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is underway.
