Dushanbe, Oct. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. The member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) are the main trading partners of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev told at the meeting of the SCO Heads Government Council in Dushanbe.
He said that the countries of the organization account for 73% of the total volume of the republic’s trade turnover, including 54% in exports and 79% in imports.
Abylgaziev stated that for the effective implementation of economic projects in the SCO area, the Kyrgyz side favors the earliest possible creation of financial mechanisms - the SCO Development Bank and suggests continuing the process of discussing and agreeing on the establishment of the head office of the SCO Bank in Kyrgyzstan.
“We propose to enhance work in this area in order to find common approaches, and we express our readiness for further productive work with partners in the organization,” the Kyrgyz Prime Minister said.
