SCO Public Diplomacy Center organizes exhibition of photographs in Tashkent

Tashkent, May 18, 2021. / Kabar /. The SCO Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan within the framework of the celebration of the International Day of Museums organized a photo exhibition of unique archival photographs "Pages of Memory" at the State Museum of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Fakhritdin Utbosarov, head of the SCO Center for Strategic Research, told Kabar.

The main goal of the event is to familiarize with the materials stored in the archives of the republic about the feat of the representatives of the multinational people of Uzbekistan at the front and beyond, to draw attention to fostering a sense of love and pride in the heroic past in young people, the development of an active and firm civic position of the population, as well as paying special attention to veterans who have shown dedication in battles against fascism and who are living today.

During the exhibition, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the SCO Center Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan, the Uzarchiv agency and the State Museum of History of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences. These agreements will allow for intensive interaction in the direction of further development of scientific ties with state archives, as well as broad propaganda of ancient history, rich culture, national and traditional values ​​of the Uzbek people in the SCO member countries.

International Museum Day has been celebrating since 1977.
