Bishkek, Nov. 14, 2024. /Kabar/. A former deputy of the Kyrgyz Parliament is suspected of vote buying in the upcoming elections to local councils.
The Bishkek Main Internal Affairs Directorate reported that today an audio recording of a conversation allegedly between the chief of staff of the Social Democratic Party Irina Karamushkina and a person named Daniar appeared on social networks in the Kyrgyz segment, where they discuss vote buying in the upcoming elections of deputies of local councils, which will be held on November 17 of this year.
Based on this fact, the Investigative Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek opened a criminal case under Article 196 (vote buying) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
