Seasonal increase in incidence of acute intestinal infections observed in Bishkek

Bishkek, July 18, 2022 . /Kabar/. Bishkek is facing a seasonal increase in the incidence of acute intestinal infections by 2.3 times, the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office reported.

The data were announced at the coordination council on socially significant and especially dangerous diseases.

During the meeting, it has became known that for 6 months 2022, 34 thousand 412 cases of acute respiratory infections were recorded in Bishkek, a decrease of 15.9%. A seasonal rise in the incidence of acute intestinal infections in 2.3 times is observed, 413 people admitted with tick bites, including 2 cases marked by the disease tick-borne encephalitis.
