Bishkek, May 20, 2020 / Kabar/. The handover ceremony of the second batch of humanitarian aid from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan was held today in the city of Osh.
The humanitarian aid is rendered to Kyrgyzstan at the initiative of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of the fight against coronavirus in the country, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The Uzbek side transferred humanitarian aid in the city of Tashkent to Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Zhunusov. The cargo was delivered to the city of Osh accompanied by the Ambassador and transferred to Osh Oblast Governor Uzarbek Zhylkybaev.
The event was attended by representatives of the representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, territorial bodies of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the media.
The humanitarian aid included medical beds (440 units), electronic pyrometers (1 thousand units), protective overalls (2 thousand 500 units), medical gloves (150 thousand units), as well as medical masks (150 thousand units).
During the handover ceremony, the Kyrgyz side expressed its sincere gratitude to President of Uzbekistan and the entire people of Uzbekistan for their support to combat the spread of coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan.
