Second day of President Jeenbekov’s working visit to Issyk-Kul Oblast

Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov continues his working trips to the regions of the country, his press service reported.

As part of his trip, Jeenbekov visited the village of Ak-Bulak in Ak-Suu region, where a water supply system is being built, and in October this year more than 2,000 residents will have access to clean drinking water.

The Kyrgyz leader also familiarized with the activities of the Zarya seed agricultural cooperative in Ak-Suu region.

The Zarya agricultural cooperative grows improved varieties of wheat and barley seeds and provides Issyk-Kul Oblast with them, while applying new irrigation technologies.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov thanked Head of Zarya, Ivan Chernysh, for his creative work and job creation in rural areas.

At the same time, the Kyrgyz leader toured the fruit garden in the village of Ornok, Issyk-Kul region, where the technology of drip irrigation for the cultivation of fruit crops was introduced on loans from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

Jeenbekov assured that in the framework of the state policy of regional development, the volume of privileged loans to support local entrepreneurs and rural producers will increase every year.

In Cholpon-Ata town, the President inspected the capital reconstruction of the infectious diseases department of the Issyk-Kul Territorial Regional Hospital.

Jeenbekov talked to the medical staff, discussing in detail not only current issues amid fight against coronavirus infection, but also the problems of the healthcare system.

He once again noted that the total digitalization of all spheres of the country is underway, which will help legalize funds from the shadow economy.

"These funds will be used first of all to raise salaries of medical workers and teachers," concluded the Kyrgyz President.
