Abu Dhabi, Nov. 17, 2023. / Kabar/. The second edition of the Global Media Congress concluded its work in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
More than 13 thousand people from 170 countries of the world took part in it. Among them are representatives of about 200 well-known media brands, TV channels, radio, news agencies and newspapers and magazines.
A feature of this year's media congress was the large number of students studying journalism. Training courses, such as creating articles on social media, organizing broadcasts, using new technologies correctly and effectively, live interviews, meeting with well-known media professionals and learning from their experiences were organized.
A delegation from Kyrgyzstan also came to participate in the Congress, among them there are also young students.
One of them is Gulnura Saliyeva, a student of the Journalism Faculty of Kyrgyz State University named after Ishenaly Arabayev. It is the first time that she is participating in such a large-scale media congress.

"I liked that media from different countries of the world presented themselves here. Each of them was unique and interesting in its own right. Most importantly, they have an interesting business cases. It is a great opportunity for us to come and participate here. We have friends from many countries. The Media Congress brought together colleagues working in mass media from all over the world. I used to think that journalism was not a very good profession. However, after participating in the Global Media Congress, I realized that I need to improve my profession without delay. This congress showed us our future. I learned that if you want to achieve any success in life, you need to work hard," she said.
Gulnura Saliyeva, who came to Abu Dhabi for the first time, said that she liked the city very much and did not hide the feeling that she had fallen into another world.
"Honestly, I was surprised at first. Because here I saw a different world, the future, new technology. It is a country that is developed in all aspects. People are hospitable and do not spare their help. I have been to other countries before, but they are especially hospitable here. They welcome us like their close relative," Gulnura expressed her deep gratitude to the organizers of the Global Media Congress.
Another participant of the GMC, Viktoria Polikarpova, head of the international department of the Russian Sputnik media group, said the congress was very fruitful for them.

“Our media group has signed several memorandums of understanding with news agencies in Middle Eastern countries. We also talked about our special training program "Sputnik PRO" and promoted it. This is a special course for young journalists, sociologists, advertisers, and historians who want to learn how to prepare news and write history, and who want to get in-depth knowledge. The course teaches how to make videos and how to distribute them on social networks. This is our training course. In general, the congress was very active for us," she said.
Sputnik Global Media Group broadcasts its programs in 33 languages. More than 120 correspondents from all over the world cover the news and prepare exclusive materials every day. He also added that radio broadcasts will be conducted in 17 countries.
The second edition of the Global Media Congress was organized by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and the ADNEC group in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on November 14-16.
