Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . The second phase of the Safe City project will be fully implemented in 2022, Deputy Head of the Main Department for Road Safety Ymanaly Sarkulov told Wednesday during a press conference in Bishkek.
A Chinese company won the tender for the implementation of the second phase of the project. The contract was signed by the State Committee on Communications (at that time) and Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent Co. Ltd.
“There were problems in terms of implementation due to the pandemic, which is why the contract was extended. Now the Ministry of Digital Development assures that the project will be fully launched in the first quarter of 2022," said Sarkulov.
Safe City project, project to record traffic violations, began its work in Bishkek on Feb. 12, 2019.
The first phase of the project was implemented by the Russian concern Vega, the second – by Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent Co. Ltd.
According to the project, hardware-software complexes are planned to cover 306 points - 266 stationary and 40 mobile. The second stage of the project will cover all regions of the republic, two cities of republican and 15 cities of regional importance, 73 settlements.
