Bishkek, Apr. 29, 2020. /Kabar/. At today’s news briefing at the Government House, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov told what are the forecasts about the second wave of COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
"As for what are the forecasts regarding the second wave of coronavirus, the assumptions are different. Experts make different predictions, some say the second wave is expected to be in the fall. Others claim it will come immediately. The Government is ready for it. We already know how to fight it. Foreign experts from Poland and China recently came to us and they approved our algorithm of actions. We will continue to work on improving the technical component and other parts to be ready for anything," Boronov said.
As of Apr. 29, Kyrgyzstan reported 21 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 729, including 191 cases among medical workers.
A total of 437 citizens have been cured of COVID-19 all over the country.
Currently, 281 patients are in hospitals with coronavirus infection.
10 patients are in serious condition in hospitals, 4 of them are in intensive care.
8 people have died.
