Secretary of Security Council of Kyrgyzstan and CSTO Secretary General exchange views on regional security

Bishkek, March 11, 2023. /Kabar/. Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov.

During the meeting, issues of the current practical activities of the CSTO were discussed, including the progress in the implementation of earlier decisions of the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the Organization and the implementation of activities planned for 2023.

An exchange of views took place on issues of regional security, as well as on current events on the international agenda in the context of an effective response to existing and new challenges and threats.

Marat Imankulov expressed the readiness of the authorized bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic, as before, to work constructively and actively contribute to strengthening the potential and authority of the CSTO and wished Imangali Tasmagambetov success and new achievements as the newly appointed Secretary General of the Organization.
