Bishkek, March 31, 2022 / Kabar /. State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Suyunbek Kasmambetov received today Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Kyrgyz Republic Olivier Bangerter.
Topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting, the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.
The secretary of state congratulated the Swiss diplomat on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, noting that Switzerland is an important foreign policy partner for Kyrgyzstan.
Suyunbek Kasmambetov confirmed his readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the new cooperation program of the Swiss government.
He also briefed the Swiss Ambassador on activities in the field of developing state ideology and strengthening national unity, preserving and promoting the culture, language, traditions and customs of the multi-ethnic people of Kyrgyzstan.
At the same time, the scretary of state informed the Swiss diplomat about the goals and objectives of the Kyrgyz Zharany concept.
From his part, Olivier Bangerter noted that Switzerland highly appreciates friendly relations with Kyrgyzstan and confirmed his country's interest in multifaceted cooperation in order to support the socio-economic and democratic development of the country. The ambassador stressed that in multinational Switzerland, great attention is paid to issues of national ideology, unity and civic identity. In this regard, the diplomat welcomed the activities of the Kyrgyz authorities in these matters.
