Security Council discusses measures to prepare and hold presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2017 / Kabar /. A meeting of the Security Council has begun in Bishkek to discuss measures to prepare and hold the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting is chaired by President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.

"If elections are held fairly, then the people will accept the results. If not, then the people will not accept it either. In the parliamentary elections there was also an excitement, that we will not hold such elections. The people spoke on television about this," he said.

The presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on October 15. 13 candidates will compete for the post of head of state.
