Bishkek, May 15, 2019 / Kabar /. Bilateral consultations were held in Bishkek on Tuesday chaired by Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Damir Sagynbaev, and Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Victor Makhmudov.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of ministries and departments of the two countries responsible for ensuring security, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
The sides discussed issues of border, veterinary and phytosanitary security, countering terrorism and extremism.
The participants paid much attention to improving the effectiveness of interaction and cooperation in emergency response.
The sides recognized the need to further develop cooperation and expand interaction under the leadership of the Heads of State.
As a result of the meeting, the sides signed a Memorandum on further strengthening of cooperation between the Secretariat of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Office of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan.
