Bishkek, March 21, 2020 / Kabar /. A meeting of the Security Council was held in a narrow composition under the chairmanship of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov with the participation of heads of state bodies.
The press service of the president said that the participants of the meeting discussed the additional measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic.
First Vice Prime Minister, Head of the republican headquarters on coronovirus Kubatbek Boronov, Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbaev made reports on the measures taken and the implementation of earlier decisions of the Security Council.
During the meeting Kubatbek Boronov made a proposal to introduce an emergency mode throughout the country in order to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection.
As a result of the discussion of this issue, taking into account the proposals of the participants of the Security Council meeting, a decision was made to propose the prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic to introduce an emergency mode in the country from March 22, 2020 for a period of 1 month.
The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the Secretariat of the Security Council, has been instructed to develop an appropriate operational action plan in case of emergency.
Taking into account the introduction of an emergency mode in the country, a decision was also made to postpone the local elections, which were scheduled for April 12, 2020.
