Security Council takes number of decisions on epidemiological situation in country

Bishkek, June 19, 2020 / Kabar /. A regular meeting of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, chaired by President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov took place today with the participation of the leaders of several government bodies, the press service of the President said.

At a meeting of the Security Council, the issue of the current epidemiological situation in the country was considered.

Vice Prime Minister Aida Ismailova and Health Minister of the country Sabirzhan Abdikarimov presented information on ongoing work to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection in the republic.

Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov and Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov also shared their views on the current situation.

The President in his speech noted that the local authorities bear a great responsibility for keeping the epidemiological situation under control and preventing its further exacerbation.

He once again emphasized the personal responsibility of the heads of regions, districts and mayors of cities for the current situation.

The head of state added that every citizen should participate in the prevention of this disease and follow the instructions of doctors.

Jeenbekov demanded that the Republican headquarters, the Ministry of Health, the heads of regions, cities and districts increase the pace of work in the fight against the disease.

In addition, he called citizens to responsibility, noting that some of them, spreading false information, negate the daily efforts of physicians.

The head of state regretted the fact of photographing members of the government and the government apparatus in violation of sanitary and epidemiological standards.

The president demanded to impose fines on everyone who violated the requirements of doctors.

Following the meeting of the Security Council in a narrow composition, a number of decisions were made.

In particular, the work of the Ministry of Health, government bodies, mayors of Bishkek and Osh, government plenipotentiaries in the regions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection was recognized as insufficient.

It was recommended that the prime minister consider the disciplinary responsibility of governors in the regions for the prevention of a worsening epidemiological situation.

Along with this, the need to ensure full funding of all activities aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection was noted.
