Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Apr. 28 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov chaired a regular narrow format meeting of the Security Council with the participation of heads of several state bodies and mayor of the capital city of Bishkek, his press service said.

The Security Council’s meeting considered the issue of further measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the country and the resumption of socio-economic activity in the republic.
First Deputy PM, Deputy Head of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov, Deputy Prime Minister Erkin Asrandiyev, Minister of Health Sabirzhan Abdikarimov and heads of state bodies reported on the current situation.
Kubatbek Boronov and Sabirzhan Abdikarimov noted the advisability of extending the state of emergency in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad and Naryn Oblast’s At-Bashy region until May 10, 2020 inclusive.

“Given the epidemiological situation, the state of emergency will be extended in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast,” President Jeenbekov stressed.
In the remaining territories where the state of emergency will be lifted, the emergency regime will be maintained.
In addition, First Deputy PM Boronov made a proposal to gradually resume the activities of business entities under the conditions of emergency situation and state of emergency.

At the same time it was mentioned that some restrictions will remain unchanged, but in view of resumption of economic activity the number of checkpoints will be reduced.
The Kyrgyz leader noted particular importance to maintain sanitary-epidemiological security at economic facilities, where the activity will be resumed.
Also, Jeenbekov stressed that due to the current situation, it is impossible to hold mass events to mark the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
At the same time, he added the Immortal Regiment campaign, which has found wide support among citizens in recent years, is proposed to be held online.
President Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted veterans of the Great Patriotic War and workers on the home front will receive special attention, as in previous years, and the mass media will widely cover projects dedicated to the Great Victory.
Earlier, a state of emergency was introduced in Bishkek, Osh, Dzhalal-Abad cities, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast from March 25 and till Apr. 15, 2020.
On the territory of the city of Naryn and At-Bashi region of Naryn Oblast, a state of emergency was introduced on Apr. 15, 2020.
