SEEC meeting begins in Bishkek in expanded format

Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2022 / Kabar/. The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded format chaired by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov began at the Ala-Archa state residence.

There are 17 items on the agenda. The most important ones are:

- on the sources and mechanisms of financing industrial cooperation projects within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union;

- on the course of preparation of a draft international agreement on the formation of a common gas market of the Eurasian Economic Union;

- on the situation to remove obstacles in the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union;

- on the start of negotiations with the United Arab Emirates on the conclusion of a free trade agreement;

- on the main directions of the international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2023;

- on signing the draft Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014 in terms of determining the procedure for levying indirect taxes when providing services in electronic form;

- on chairmanship in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Based on the results of the meeting, it is planned to adopt a decision of the Supreme Council on moving chairmanship in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council to the Russian Federation in 2023.
