Bishkek, Dec.27, 2024./Kabar/. Following the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC), held on Dec.26 in Leningrad Oblast (Russian Federation), a number of documents were signed.
At the extended format meeting, leaders of EAEU member states decided to give the floor to heads of observer states to the EAEU and the invited head of the Iranian delegation, as the main discussions were held during the meeting in a narrow composition.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech, a video message by Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez was heard, and Head of the delegation of the invited state - Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Seyed Mohammad Atabak - was given the floor.
After the speech of Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev, a number of important decisions and documents were adopted.
Heads of state - members of the Eurasian Economic Union signed one agreement and one protocol - the Agreement on a unified system of customs transit of the Eurasian Economic Union and third party (third parties) and the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014 in part concerning the special mechanism in conducting investigations and making decisions on the application or non-application of special protective, anti-dumping and countervailing measures.
In addition, 18 acts of the EAEU were adopted.
In 2025, the chairmanship of the EAEU bodies will pass from Armenia to Belarus.
