Bishkek, Aug. 7, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov saw off Kyrgyz national team to XVIII Asian Games.
Solemn send off ceremony took place today at Ala-Archa state residence.
President Jeenbekov greeting all the participants of the ceremony and did not hide his pride from the meeting.
"I am very glad that I am meeting today with you - with the best athletes of the country. You go to defend the honor of our country at the Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang cities of Indonesia. Only the very best can win a ticket to such major competitions," the president said.
He stressed that being elected from millions on the Asian continent is a great achievement, and this can only be achieved through tireless work.
"We hope and believe that you will win the championship title and raise the flag of the Kyrgyz state highly, and your victory will be a great victory for the entire people of Kyrgyzstan. I consider you the most worthy, patriotic, brave sons and daughters of the country. Like all Kyrgyz citizens, I want to be proud of you, your sports achievements,” Jeenbekov cheered athletes.
He also thanked the coaches and mentors, noting their efforts in fostering worthy athletes and calling them a source of success.
Jeenbekov added that, as a former sportsman, he feels an emotional beating of their hearts and expects great success from their participation in the Games. On a note of excitement and sincere mutual understanding, the head of state handed over the flag of Kyrgyzstan to two sportsmen, at the head of which the delegation of the republic will take the first step on the site of international competitions.
