Series of seminars "Media of China and SCO Member States 2021" kick off online

Bishkek, May 17, 2021. / Kabar /. A series of seminars "Media of China and SCO Member States 2021" have started on Monday via videoconference.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to communicate and interact online with Chinese media experts, academics and the public.

An online media exchange event jointly organized by China's SCO Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation and Global Times platform was attended by more than 40 journalists from various countries of the world, including media representatives from Kyrgyzstan.

The theme of the first day of the seminar was “The Revolution of New Media from the Position of Media Managers”.

Shi Ding, editor-in-chief of the Global Times portal told about the development of the portal and the process of transformation into new media, media reforms and many others.

“We have already formed new development models, not only in the area of user acquisition and website traffic, but also in the area of functioning of the whole website, we are now one of the largest news sites of central importance and this is the path of development of our website,” he said.

Shi Ding said that video news has become popular recently. “Therefore, at present, the editor is not only an editor but also a programmer and manager,” he noted.

At the same time, he stressed that innovations in the field of expressing news, that is, by using the latest technologies like drones, can attract more readers.

Currently, the website traffic is very large and the portal has become one of the strongest media in 2021.
