Bishkek, Dec.10, 2024. /Kabar/. The services sector still occupies a dominant share in the GDP structure of Kyrgyzstan, the specific weight of which in the structure of GDP production amounted to 50%, providing the greatest contribution to economic growth at the level of 4.04 percentage points.
The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reported that in January-November 2024, the volume of gross output amounted to KGS 992.7 billion, increasing by 9.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
The high growth in the services sector was due to the increase in incomes of the population and support measures provided to entrepreneurship.
Increase in money incomes of the population (nominal size of average monthly salary for 10 months of 2024 increased by 12.2%, average size of pension - by 18%), inflow of remittances (for 10 months of 2024 increased by 14.5%), volume of consumer loans (for 10 months of 2024 - by 1.6 times) supports domestic demand, accordingly, the total gross volume of wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles in the corresponding period increased by 15.7% and amounted to KGS 344.8 billion.
The increase in the turnover of wholesale and retail trade, repair of automobiles and motorcycles was mainly provided by the growth of wholesale (by 25.6%) and retail trade (by 12.3%).
Gross volume of transportation activity and cargo storage amounted to KGS 80.0 billion and increased by 5.2% compared to January-November 2023.
Gross volume of services provided by hotels and restaurants for January-November 2024 reached KGS 42.9 billion, showing 20.9% grow in comparison with the same period of last year.
Gross volume of information and communication services for the reporting period amounted to KGS 43.9 billion with a growth rate of 111.6%.
