SFD funds construction of 225-seat school in Dzhalal-Abad Oblast of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2020. /Kabar/. A construction of a new school named after Zheni-Zhok is under way in Aksy region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, the press service of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic said on Wednesday.

According to the project, the school is designed for 225 pupils, the estimated cost of which is USD 870,124.

"This object is financed by the credit funds of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), and USD 253 thousand 330 has been allocated to the contractor since the beginning of the construction,” the report says.

As of today, land works and ribbon foundation have been completed at the facility. Work has also begun on the brickwork of the second floor of the training block, reinforcing and concreting monolithic columns.

Construction of the school is planned to be completed in 2021.
