SFD to consider allocating $50 mln for construction of 38 schools in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2024. / Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov, as part of a working visit to Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), met with Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.

The sides discussed issues of further deepening cooperation, as well as the progress of joint projects in Kyrgyzstan.

The head of state expressed gratitude for the active participation of the Fund in financing projects in various fields, and also noted the need to strengthen cooperation for the prompt completion of current programs and the beginning of new stages of cooperation in the economy and social sphere.

The president proposed considering the possibility of increasing the amount of financing for the second phase of housing construction within the framework of the state mortgage company.

Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, in turn, expressed the Fund's readiness to expand cooperation and confirmed its intention to continue supporting projects aimed at the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan. He noted that the Fund will make every effort to participate in the implementation of current projects and expand cooperation.

In this context, it was noted that the Saudi Fund for Development will consider allocating funds in the amount of 50 million US dollars for the construction of 38 public schools in Kyrgyzstan.

At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov invited Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
