Sharp increase in price of fuel and lubricants not expected in Kyrgyzstan

In Kyrgyzstan, there will not be a sharp rise in prices of fuels and lubricants, but an increase is expected, Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Keneshbai Tailakov said during an extraordinary meeting of the Committee on Budget, Economy and Fiscal Policy of the Jogorku Kenesh.

He added that the country currently has 14 days of stocks of fuel and lubricants.

"There will not be a sharp increase by KGS 12-13. However, due to the fact that prices for procurement of fuel and lubricants depend on the dollar exchange rate, and today its rate has risen, the increase is still expected," Tailakov said.
