Bishkek, Apr. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. The republic's budget will not receive about KGS 5 billion. The Tax and Customs Services will unable to collect these funds, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov said at a joint session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Committees on International Affairs, Defense and Security and Law and Order, Fight Against Crime and Combating Corruption.
According to him, in conditions of emergency and state of emergency, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is taking measures to stabilize the economy and to ensure food security. Boronov added the Government is helping socially vulnerable segments of the population.
"A Republican Headquarters has been established. Measures are being taken to regulate the prices of food and essential goods. Measures have been developed to help entrepreneurs under the Government’s anti-crisis plan," Boronov said.
The deputy PM noted the Government is rendering assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population.
"More than 80 thousand families have received assistance, and work is underway to support citizens who found themselves in difficult social conditions," he said.
The official added 600 tons of flour and 35 tons of sugar will be distributed among citizens in need of assistance.
"Such assistance is provided in settlements where a state of emergency is introduced," he said, adding that the population is given a three-month grace period to pay for public utilities.
