Bishkek, July 27, 2020. /Kabar/. Following the results of 6 months of 2020, the volume of transported cargoes of Kyrgyz Temir Jolu (Kyrgyz Railways) National Company State Enterprise made 3 million 183 thousand 902.6 tons, or by 330.2 thousand tons more compared to the same period last year.
According to the press service of the company, the growth was 111.6%.
In order to prevent the entry and spread of coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan through the checkpoints on the border of the republic, Kyrgyz Railways company conducts sanitary processing of all freight cars at all border railway stations located at the border checkpoints.
Also, in pursuance of the Plan of measures for sanitary protection against entry and spread of coronavirus infection and established algorithms of action, provision of employees of the enterprise with PPE, sanitary disinfection of facilities, vehicles and the adjacent territory of the Kyrgyz Railways is carried out on a permanent basis.
The work of the National Company is carried out in accordance with the established procedure on a round-the-clock basis.
In Kyrgyzstan, passenger transportation by rail has been temporarily suspended due to the poor epidemiological situation.
