Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2020. /Kabar/. The situation in the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital remains tense, chief physician of the hospital Gulzhigit Aaliyev said in an interview with Kabar News Agency.
"The situation as a whole remains tense not only for us. Moral psychological situation in the team is stable. There are enough devices and equipment to provide treatment to patients. Today it is very difficult to make a forecast, the situation in the world is different," Aaliyev said.
He also noted that currently there are 375 patients in the in-patient department of the Infectious Disease Hospital, 21 of them are in extremely serious condition, 130 are in severe condition, and state of 224 assessed as medium severe. 188 employees are now involved in providing medical care. Medical staff works in shifts.
According to statistics, as of Nov. 18, Kyrgyzstan reported 425 new cases of COVID-19, 5 new deaths were registered.
Among the new cases identified, 14 are medical workers.
A total of 3,764 medics contracted novel coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan; and 3,514 of them have recovered.
Currently, 3,136 Kyrgyzstanis are receiving treatment in hospitals of the country, and 3,980 – at home.
In addition, 3,206 PCR tests were conducted across the republic in the past day.
