The report said that the night passed quietly, no incidents were recorded.

According to the earlier reached agreements, during the night the parties completed the withdrawal of additional forces and means to the points of permanent deployment; units of law enforcement agencies carried out joint patrols of border areas, it said.

The Border Service continues to carry out measures to stabilize the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in the Batken region.

An incident with the use of weapons occurred today between border guards on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in the Bulak-Bashy area. According to the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, a detachment of the Border Guard Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan discovered a border guard detachment of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, which, in violation of earlier agreements between the parties, took up combat positions on an undescribed section of the state border. Ignoring the legitimate demands of the Kyrgyz side to leave the territory, the Tajik border guards opened fire. In response, the border guards of Kyrgyzstan also used weapons. During a skirmish between border detachments, the Tajik side used mortars.

Later, Tajik border guards opened fire on the Dostuk outpost located in the Kak-Sai area of ​​the Batken region. At 2:40 p.m., the shooting was stopped. However, at 15:08 in the Pasky-Aryk area of ​​the Batken region, the border guards of Tajikistan again opened fire on the border guards of the Samarkandek outpost of the Batken border detachment. Kyrgyz border guards returned fire. Later, the skirmish at the Samarkandek outpost stopped.
