According to the provided information, from 10:00 pm of March 14 to 6:00 am of March 15, there were no people on the border area.
“Delegations of the two countries meet in evening of March 14 in the Dacha locality (Kyrgyzstan). From the Kyrgyz Republic - Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Governor of Batken Oblast, Deputy Interior Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of law enforcement agencies, from the Republic of Tajikistan - Deputy Prime Minister, First Deputy Chairman - Commander of the Border Troops of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan, Governor of Sughd Oblast, Deputy Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Prosecutor of the Sogd Oblast, representatives of the republican and regional state register. The sides discussed the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik part of the state border,” the report said.
The meeting of the delegations of the two countries will continue today.
The roads of Isfara-Vorukh (Tajikistan) and Batken-Leilek (Kyrgyzstan) remain closed.
The State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic together with law enforcement agencies and representatives of local self-government conducts explanatory activities with the population of the border areas.
Similar work is being done by Tajik border guards and authorities in the border areas of Tajikistan.
