Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2019. / Kabar /. The situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border is characterized as stable, according to the Public Relations and Media Relations Department of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Osh-Batken-Isfana highway is open for vehicles.

The Kyrgyz side continues work on the asphalting of the Kok-Tash - Aksai road; the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic is constructing a border post in the area of ​​Dacha in Batken region.

The Tajik side continues to carry out uncoordinated work on disputable section of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in the area of ​​Zhaka-Oruk (Tort-Kocho) in Batken region.

In order to prevent the escalation of conflicts, the units of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border were transferred to high alert.
