Bishkek, Dec. 21, 2018. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, work has been done to optimize veterinary laboratories; as a result, 19 of the 28 existing laboratories remained, Director of the State Inspectorate for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety (SIVPS) of the Kyrgyz Republic Kalysbek Jumakanov told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
He said that of these, 3 laboratories, veterinary diagnostic and examination centers in the northern and southern regions have national status.
“Modern equipment worth $ 2 million 860 thousand 141 was delivered and installed in these 2 laboratories. Moreover, construction of 4 zonal centers for veterinary diagnostics and examination in the cities of Talas, Batken, Balykchi and Karakol has been completed. Work in 12 interdistrict veterinary laboratories has been completed, and 175 million soms were allocated from the budget for this purpose in 2017,” Jumakanov said.
He also noted that the government has raised 80 million soms to equip 4 zonal laboratories in Batken, Talas, Nooken and Naryn.
