Bishkek, June 15, 2022. / Kabar /. Press Secretary of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic Erbol Sultanbaev published on his page in social networks a sketch of a new stadium, which is planned to be built in Bishkek.
Sultanbaev wrote that on behalf of President Sadyr Japarov the construction of a new stadium located in the southwestern part of the capital will begin in August this year.
“It will be a modern multifunctional sports arena with a capacity of 22.5 thousand people. The construction will be carried out by a company from Europe, which has many years of experience in this field. The main amount will be European investments. Estimated construction time is two years,” the presidential spokesman said.
President Sadyr Zhaparov announced about the construction of the new stadium at a meeting with Kyrgyz football players after the match with Tajikistan on 2023 Asian Cup Qualification on Tuesday.
The president said that it will be a multifunctional sports arena where it will be possible to hold major international events at the proper level.
