Slight increase in COVID-19 incidence observed among schoolchildren under 15, says chief sanitary doctor

Bishkek, Apr. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. There is slight increase in COVID-19 coronavirus infection incidence among schoolchildren under 15 years old, Kyrgyzstan’s Chief Sanitary Doctor and Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said during a briefing at the Government House.

According to his data, there are no serious cases among them.

Following are data by age:

  • children under 15 years old- 81, of whom 4 babies are up to year,
  • between 16 and 19- 19 citizens,
  • between 20 and 35 years- 186 citizens,
  • between 35 and 55- 246 citizens,
  • 55 and over- 150 citizens.

Kyrgyzstan has reported 682 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with eight deaths and 370 recoveries so far.
