Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2021. /Kabar/. Social issues have been strengthened in the draft of the new Constitution, Chairman of the Constitutional Counsel Bekbosun Borubashev said at a meeting of the Counsel.
According to him, 80% of the laws in the current Constitution are of a political nature, which is wrong.
"Out of 118 articles, we have made 22 about the constitutional system, 45 about human rights, 45 about the state authorities. We have equalized," he said.
Also Borubashev said that it was decided to create the position of an ombudsman for children's rights under the president.
"In addition, we introduced the possibility for medics to receive state support, and the clauses on education and science have been expanded," the chairman of the Counsel added.
