Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Ratification of the Social Security Treaty between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, signed on April 9, 2018 in the city of Ankara, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) on December 20, 2018.
The treaty provides for the creation of equal rights for citizens of the two countries in the field of social security.
In accordance with the Treaty and the Administrative Agreement for the implementation of the Treaty, equal conditions are established for the creation of pension rights and obligations for citizens of the two countries.
The Treaty provides that pensions granted in one country will be paid in the same amount to persons, despite their residence in the territory of another country.
To determine the right to the pension, it is provided that each Party takes into account the experience acquired in accordance with its legislation, if the insurance period completed under the legislation of one Party is not sufficient, then the summation of the insurance period completed under the legislation of the States of the two Parties is provided.
In accordance with the Treaty, each Party will pay the worker a part of the pension for the period of work in the territory of its state.
The Treaty provides that payments for labor injury and occupational diseases, maternity and childbirth benefit, temporary incapacity benefit, burial allowance will be carried out in accordance with the laws of the Parties.
The law enters into force 10 days after the date of official publication.
