Solemn event on occasion of 100th anniversary of Kyrgyz football held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov took part today in a solemn event on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Kyrgyz football.

During the event, President Zhaparov examined a photo exhibition with archival photographs reflecting the 100-year period of the development of football in Kyrgyzstan.

In his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated Kyrgyzstanis and leading athletes on this significant date. He noted the skill and achievements of domestic football players and thanked them for their efforts to increase the prestige of Kyrgyzstan on the world stage.

The head of state, stressing the need to implement the state program for the development of sports in the country, expressed the opinion that the spread of football from schools to universities would make Kyrgyzstan a strong country with a healthy nation. He urged to make every effort to solve the problems of the country's sports industry.

Sadyr Zhaparov also greeted and took pictures with the young footballers.

During the event, FIFA President Gianni Infantino also made a congratulatory speech via video link.

The event continued with a concert program.
