Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Bishkek hosted a round table on "Smog over Bishkek - ways to solve, discussions on reducing harmful emissions into the air", the press service of the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic said on Friday.
The event was attended by NGOs, represented by MoveGreen and "Independent Environmental Expertise environmental movements "MoveGreen, international organizations of UNDP in the republic, as well as representatives of enterprises with large emissions - Electric Power Plants JSC, Bishkek Thermal Power Plant, Bishkekteploenergo public utility, as well as Kant Cement Plant JSC, Association of Technical Inspection Centers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC, Bishkek sanitary landfill, the Agency for Hydrometeorology under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzhydromet), etc.
An analytical information on the results of monitoring and control of atmospheric air in Bishkek for 2018-2019-2020 was presented during the meeting.
The second part of the round table discussed reducing smog over the city of Bishkek, recommendations and proposals of each party were presented.
The purpose of the event was to unite the forces of this audience in helping each other to solve their problems by bringing to the consciousness of every citizen.
