Bishkek, June 4, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov will pay a state visit to China on June 6 - 10.
Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov today during a press conference at Kabar News Agency said that the upcoming visit is organized at the invitation of Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and provides a meeting of the leaders of the two countries to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation.
The state visit will be held on June 6 - 8 in Beijing, and the next two days the Kyrgyz President will attend in Qingdao the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
"President Jeenbekov plans to meet with Prime Minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Zhanshu," Sydykov said.
He stressed that this visit shows that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the expansion and deepening of bilateral relations, mutual cooperation and partnership facing the future.
"Today, the legal framework between our countries has more than 200 interstate, intergovernmental, interdepartmental bilateral documents, which testifies a very serious juridical base and the desire of the two countries for mutually beneficial cooperation in various directions," the foreign policy department head said.
He informed that about 10 bilateral documents will be signed during the visit. The main political document will be the Joint Declaration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
"This will practically open a new page in the history of bilateral relations. During the talks at the highest level, an exchange of views is planned to further develop bilateral relations, expand cooperation in various fields, and also on other international and regional issues of mutual interest," Sydykov said.
In addition, he expressed confidence that this visit will give a good result in promoting the development of bilateral partnership at high level and expanding cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
It is worth noting that the state visit is the highest type of visit, conducted with a view to marking the high political level of the achieved bilateral relations with a foreign state.
The state visit by a head of a foreign state can be paid once during a period of uninterrupted fulfillment of his power. According to the volume of ceremonial honors, the state visit is the most complete.
Earlier President Jeenbekov has paid made a number of official and working visits to the neighboring countries: Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
