Moscow, Feb. 27, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, as part of a working trip to Moscow.
The sides exchanged views on pressing issues of the joint agenda, including regional security, the fight against extremism and terrorism.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted the importance of taking joint measures to counter modern challenges and threats, expressed readiness to continue active cooperation with the Russian side in all areas.
He also expressed gratitude to Dmitry Medvedev for supporting initiatives aimed at deepening joint cooperation.
Dmitry Medvedev emphasized the high level of cooperation between the two countries. He added that he was ready to continue to contribute to the strengthening of Kyrgyz-Russian relations.
He also noted the positive cooperation between the two countries in the framework of international organizations, including the CSTO.
