Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2020. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán visited on Tuesday the Turkic Council representative office in Budapest, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
Leaders of the countries were also accompanied by Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) Baghdad Amreyev and ambassadors of CCTS member states.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Viktor Orbán toured the building of the CCTS Office, as well as a photo exhibition dedicated to the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov.
While touring a photo-exhibition, writer, translator of works of Chyngyz Aitmatov in the Hungarian language David Somfai told in Kyrgyz about stay of Chyngyz Aitmatov in Hungary in 2006, conversations with the great writer, and also about visit to patrimonial village of Aitmatov - Sheker in Talas Oblast.
He handed over to Jeenbekov the White cloud of Genghis Khan story of Chyngyz Aitmatov, translated into Hungarian.
CCTS Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev noted that Sooronbay Jeenbekov is the first Central Asian leader visiting the European representation office of the Turkic Council. He emphasized the symbolism of this event, as it was in Kyrgyzstan that Hungary gained observer status in the Organization.
The Kyrgyz president noted that opening of Turkic Council representative office in Budapest is very important for the Organization, contributes to strengthening relations of the Turkic world with the countries and institutes of Europe, plays a great role in strengthening trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations.
