Sooronbay Jeenbekov: “We highly appreciate and value relations with fraternal Uzbekistan”

Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nuriddinjon Ismailov, who arrived on a working visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The President warmly greeted Nuriddinjon Ismailov and noted that today the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations have reached a qualitatively new level of strategic partnership, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

“We highly appreciate and value the relations with fraternal Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations of friendship and good neighborliness continue to develop dynamically. Thanks to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who showed political will and practical steps in the development of fruitful Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation, our relations reached a new higher qualitative level. All issues were resolved during my official visit to Uzbekistan. We highly appreciate it,” Jeenbekov stressed and conveyed his best wishes to his Uzbek counterpart.

He noted that the positive relations between the two countries are strengthening day by day. Kyrgyzstan intends to further expand and deepen the historical relationship.

In addition, Jeenbekov expressed his gratitude to the leadership and people of Uzbekistan for the broad celebration of the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.

Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nuriddinjon Ismailov thanked Sooronbay Jeenbekov for the warm welcome.

He praised the work of Sooronbay Jeenbekov as President of Kyrgyzstan and noted that he devotes his life and all his time to the people and the country.

“A lot has been done in a short time. Together with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, you opened a new era of bilateral cooperation so that the peoples of the two countries are close, live in peace and tranquility,” the Speaker emphasized.

Nuriddinjon Ismailov conveyed best wishes and sincere congratulations from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 60th birthday of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
