Bishkek, March 2, 2022 . / Kabar /. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan Lee Won-jae.
At the meeting the sides discussed topical cooperation issues, the prospects for bilateral relations, as well as attracting investment in joint projects.
The Kyrgyz economy minister noted that over the 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, the Republic of Korea has been providing significant support for the economic development of Kyrgyzstan, including through joint projects with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The Korean side expressed willingness to assist in promoting new projects to be presented by the ministry, including in agriculture, transport and energy.
The minister and the ambassador agreed to further increase bilateral cooperation and implementation of joint projects, taking into account that since 2021 the Kyrgyz Republic is in the list of priority partners of the Republic of Korea.
