Bishkek, April 12, 2022. / Kabar /. Osh and Batken Oblasts of Kyrgyzstan are implementing a project for the development of villages, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Kyrgyzstan Office reported.
An official launching ceremony of the joint "Integrated Rural Development Project in the Kyrgyz Republic” " took place on March 30.
"The five-year project will be implemented with the participation of local residents in 30 villages of Osh and Batken Oblasts and about 85 thousand local residents are the beneficiaries of this project, the total budget of which is $8.8 millions," the report said.
A trilateral Memorandum of Understanding on this project was signed in January of this year between KOICA, Good Neighbors International and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Through this project, KOICA will contribute to improving agriculture and community development in vulnerable communities in southern Kyrgyzstan for sustainable development.
