Bishkek, April 15, 2022. / Kabar /. To date, 90% of the sown area in Osh and Batken Oblasts and 60% in northern regions have been sown, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Mukashev said during a session of the Ishenim parliamentary faction.
He added that the total sown area occupied by crops is 1.232 million hectares.
The deputy minister added that KGS 1 billion out of allocated KGS 10 billion soms for crediting of agriculture is spent on leasing, that is 50% will be directed to purchase of pedigree farm animals, the rest - to purchase of agricultural machinery.
"KGS 9 billion will be allocated for the development of agricultural clusters of 9 major products, each cluster – KGS 1 billion," Mukashev said, noting that the provision of seeds was 86%, barley - 88%.
The official said that there are plans to buy 30,000 tons of mineral fertilizers from Uzbekistan.
