Spanish investors interested in building HPPs in Kyrgyztan’s Osh

Osh, June 28, 2022. /Kabar/. Spanish investors are interested in the construction of hydroelectric power plants in Osh Oblast of Kyrgyzstan.

A trilateral memorandum was signed on Monday between Osh Oblast Governor Ziyadin Zhamaldinov, General Director of the Ecoener Solar (Spain) Ricardo Tomas Guerrero and private entrepreneur Adylbek Mirzamatov.

Under the memorandum, work will be done to study the most appropriate mechanism for the implementation of a hydropower project in the Kyrgyz Republic using renewable energy sources, it is planned to build hydropower plants in Osh Oblast.

The memorandum signed also provides financing of construction of solar panels with a total capacity of 100 MW in Osh Oblast.
