Bishkek, Nov. 15, 2018. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov received Chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov.
In his welcoming speech, Dzhumabekov stressed that Ismoilov’s visit is important for the development of friendly and partnership relations between the two countries.
“We value the achieved level of mutual understanding and support between our peoples and countries. The implementation of the agreements reached earlier will strengthen cooperation and open up new prospects for further cooperation. I also believe that we should make efforts to strengthen and expand the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations,” Dzhumabekov said.
Also, the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for the construction of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek school in Osh, which was opened on September 1 this year. Currently, 630 students are studying there.
Dzhumabekov noted that cultural events are actively supported and held in both countries. He thanked colleagues from Uzbekistan for holding festive events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov.
In turn, Nurdinjon Ismoilov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome. He noted that the bilateral relations between our countries are getting stronger thanks to active cooperation in many areas: economics, politics and culture.
In conclusion, Dzhumabekov, as chairman of the parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries, invited Ismoilov to take part in the 8th meeting of the TurkPA, which will be held November 20-21 in Izmir (Turkey).
