Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov met on Thursday with Andrey Travnikov, the Governor of Novosibirsk Region of Russia.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported that the meeting of the speaker and the governor took place as part of a working visit of the Kyrgyz parliamentary delegation to Russia.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening multifaceted relations with Russia and its regions.
"We perceive Novosibirsk as one of the significant regions of Russia, which is directly related to the large number of our citizens staying here. According to the Consulate General, the number of permanent residents of Kyrgyzstan in Novosibirsk Region is 80 thousand people, and this number is increasing annually," Mamytov said.

The speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament also touched on relations within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and migration policy, focusing on the protection of the legal rights of Kyrgyz citizens.
Besides, he indicated the importance of further development of inter-regional political-economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction.
In turn, Governor of Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov expressed interest in close cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and its regions in all directions.

The delegation of Kyrgyzstan includes MPs Kanybek Imanaliyev, Beishenaly Nurdinov and Iskender Matraimov.
