Bishkek, March 15 / Kabar /. The delegation of the Kyrgyz Parliament headed by Speaker Chynybai Tursunbekov met in Islamabad with members of the Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the business community of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh reported.
During the meeting, ways of further development of cooperation were discussed, as well as an exchange of views on investment conditions in Kyrgyzstan.
Tursunbekov briefed that a liberal legislative base for foreign investors has been created in Kyrgyzstan. "Jogorku Kenesh is also ready to support bona fide investors who want to open their business in the republic," he said.
In turn, members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan expressed their interest in partnership in such areas as medicine, pharmaceuticals, IT technologies, agriculture, and also in the mining industry. They stressed the possibility of implementing joint projects in the above areas.
Also within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of the Jogorku Kenesh to Pakistan a meeting was held with representatives of Energo Powergen LTD Energoholding, where the sides discussed the issues of cooperation in the field of energy.
Employees of this company provided information on the major energy projects being implemented in Pakistan.
Tursunbekov informed about the opportunities of Kyrgyzstan in the field of electricity production and stressed the importance of carrying out fruitful joint work of the two countries in this field.
The parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Speaker Chynybai Tursunbekov is on an official visit to Pakistan. The delegation included deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Abdumajit Yusurov, Mukhtarbek Ainakulov, Abdimuktar Mamatov, Kubanychbek Nurmatov, Duishon Torokulov, Emil Toktoshev.
