At the Mulino training ground of the Western Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Response Force of the Collective Security Treaty Organization “Interaction-2019” has been completed, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the exercises the troops from the CSTO member states practiced preparing and conducting a joint operation to localize a border armed conflict in the East European region of collective security. The CSTO personnel will search for illegal armed formations, conduct an airborne operation to land by various methods, launch an assault on a terrorists’ base and eliminate illegal armed formations.
The military contingent of the Kyrgyz Republic, represented by the special forces brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, completed the task of destroying the militants who invaded the territory of one of the states and captured a large settlement. The terrorists had to be dispersed by massive fire, localized centers of their resistance, and then destroyed. Our fighters coped with the task quickly and smoothly, showing a high level of combat training, the report said.
A joint exercise was held from October 16 to 18 as part of the unified concept of the CSTO operational-strategic exercise “Combat Brotherhood - 2019”. The maneuvers involved about 3,000 troops and over 300 pieces of equipment from the armies of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, special forces, as well as specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergencies.
